Lead Gen Agents

Configure an always-on agent that finds, researches, and prioritizes buyers showing real intent.

What Is a Lead Gen Agent?

A Lead Gen Agent continuously monitors the LinkedIn activity and recency sources you configure for buyers who match your ideal customer profile. It replaces the repetitive work of building lists, checking profiles, and researching why now might be the right time to reach out.

Each agent is configured for a specific product and audience. It learns your business context, monitors the signals you choose, evaluates every match against your ICP, and sends qualified leads to a destination list with the research needed for personalized outreach.

Create an Agent

Open Lead Gen Agents in your dashboard and select New Agent. The setup has three parts:

  1. 1

    Define your ICP

Describe the people and companies you want to reach using role, seniority, industry, company size, location, and relevant keywords.

  2. 2

    Choose intent signals

Select the activities and events that indicate a prospect may be interested, then add the competitors, keywords, companies, and people the agent should track.

  3. 3

    Select a destination

Choose the lead list where qualified matches should arrive, review the configuration, and activate the agent.

Define Your ICP

Your ideal customer profile tells the agent which people and companies are worth evaluating. Start with the characteristics shared by customers who get the most value from your product rather than making the audience as broad as possible.

Use company criteria such as industries, employee ranges, company type, and locations together with person criteria such as function, seniority, job title, and keywords. NetworkHQ uses the complete profile when it explains why a lead is a good fit and when it prioritizes one signal over another.

Tip: A focused ICP gives the agent stronger evidence to work with. Create separate agents when different products or audiences need meaningfully different criteria and messaging.

Choose Buying Signals

Combine signals from multiple categories so the agent can identify patterns instead of treating one isolated action as intent.

Your LinkedIn audience

Collect profile and company-page visitors, company followers, and engagement with your own profile or company posts.

Tracked post engagement

Surface people engaging with posts from configured LinkedIn profiles and company pages, including competitors and industry voices.

Keyword post engagement

Find people engaging with LinkedIn posts discovered through your configured keyword searches.

Recent job changes

Find ICP-fit people whose LinkedIn work history shows a recent role change.

Recent funding

Find ICP-fit companies with a recent funding event.

Recent LinkedIn posting

Find ICP-fit people who posted on LinkedIn within the configured recency window.

Add Tracked Sources

Signals describe what the agent should look for. Tracked sources tell it where to pay particular attention. Add LinkedIn company pages and profiles for your own business, competitors, and industry voices, plus keyword post searches that are important to your market.

The agent combines engagement from those sources with recent job changes, funding, and recent LinkedIn posting. Profile visitors require connected Premium or Sales Navigator accounts; company-page visitors and followers require a connected Page-admin account. You can update sources as your market changes without recreating the agent.

From Signal to Warm Lead

When the agent finds a signal, it identifies the person behind it, researches their profile and company, and scores the match against your ICP. Strong matches are added to the destination list with the original signal, its source, the match reasoning, and the context gathered during research.

The lead is then ready for a campaign. After enrollment, NetworkHQ uses the same context to draft a message around the real activity or event that surfaced the buyer, creating a clear connection between the signal, the prospect's priorities, and your product.

Agent Statuses

Draft

The agent is still being configured. You can edit its ICP, signals, tracked sources, and destination without monitoring beginning.

Active

The agent is monitoring its sources, evaluating matches, and delivering qualified warm leads to its destination list.

Paused

Monitoring and lead delivery are temporarily stopped. The configuration and previous activity remain available when you resume.

Activity and Analytics

Use the agent's activity view to follow monitoring cycles, signal matches, research, qualification decisions, and lead delivery. This shows how the agent reached each result instead of presenting a lead without an explanation.

Analytics show which signal types and sources are producing qualified leads. Use that feedback to refine your ICP, add or remove tracked sources, and concentrate the agent on the patterns that produce the best conversations.
